We want travellers to better understand and connect with the world outside their window. So we travelled 7,000km by train to find and then produce amazing stories about the things we could see. Window Seater delivers these stories to curious travellers at the right time and in the right way.

Hello. We're Pete and Rich, the creators of Window Seater.
We believe there are amazing stories everywhere, even alongside the most common of rail journeys, and they're going unnoticed.
So we want to launch a new approach to storytelling; we want to share handmade audio stories about the places that pass by our windows to better connect us to the world outside.
It's a bit of a wild ride - we've got plans to grow a network of stories and storytellers across the world and do all kind of crazy things that lead to more authentic and compelling travel. The Window Seater app is just the start. We hope that you will join us!
Our story

We're travellers who met in Myanmar. Back then Pete was working on an early version of the app, a project he first dreamed up travelling by train in France, desperate to know about the landscape flashing by. Meanwhile Rich was learning Burmese and telling digital stories in Yangon.
Together, we're launching Window Seater in South-East Asia (a part of the world we love). We've logged over 7,000km in Thailand by rail, poured over maps, spoken to locals and narrated more than 200 pieces of content.
This definitely isn't the budget way of making audio! But it's a lot of fun and we're convinced that stories gathered by travellers themselves mean better listening experiences for everyone. We hope you think so too.
